While trying to figure this out, I ended up learning a few thing along the way, some of which I didn’t use to make this work, but I believe they are useful enough to mention them here anyway. I spend about 12 hours on on this thing! I struggled a lot! I wanted to make it work without purchasing the easy-to-use software out there, but I eventually gave up and had to make two purchases □ only because I wanted to have a professional setup □, this story is not a recommendation, it’s a reminder for myself showing how much I struggled and how I eventually got it working for future reference using this video, if you can make Windows Professional work in Boot Camp in an external drive on a mac running macOS Mojave without purchasing please let me know! Copy WindowsSupport mac drivers to the external drive.Run WinToUSB to copy Windows to the external drive.Use MS Windows Disk Management to format the non-EFI partition to NTFS.
